ANW Apprenticeship Guide # 5 is all about some of the smallest components required for us to live - micronutrients. Previously, we learned about the three Macronutrients; fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Now, we're going to learn all about vitamins and minerals. Part One (the guide you're reading now) is going to cover vitamins, and Part Two will cover minerals. Necessary for cellular function and vitality, micronutrients must be obtained through the diet, and if we're unable to obtain adequate amounts of these minute compounds, it can have massive health repercussions. But too much can lead to toxicity. So we'll talk here about the different vitamins, and the amounts necessary to prevent both deficiency and toxicity - as well as who decides those amounts.
